Children's Discovery Museum

Last week the kids and I met my mom at the Children's Discovery Museum in Bloomington to explore and get out of the heat.  We haven't been since Grace was around 15 months old so it was fun to see her experience it through 3 year old eyes this time.  She was able to sit and focus on several exhibits, learn and take it all in.  Caleb on the other hand just ran around like a crazy kid:)

Grace really enjoyed playing in the grocery store and baking (I wish she would play with her play kitchen at home that much).  She also had fun doing puppet shows with my mom, playing with the trains, and playing with the dollhouse exhibits.  Caleb liked the toddler pay area with stairs, a bridge and a slide, the tractor, and any kind of tunnel or climbing area.

We spent about 3 hours there with a break to eat the lunch my mom packed and still didn't have time to really explore every exhibit.  The museum is 3 floors and we barely spent time on the third floor.  We will have to go back soon and start at the top and work our way down.

Caleb playing in a mirrored tunnel.  He was cracking up at himself.

Grace was pretty excited about the large chess game.  Too bad someone was
playing a real game so she could only walk through it and couldn't play with the pieces.

Grace, Caleb and me driving the combine.
