Matt Got Anne Pregnant...Again

Yep, you heard it here. Matt did it again. We are happy to announce that we are expecting Baby #2. We had our first doctor's appointment today and it was so wonderful to hear the little heartbeat. I love that sound.

1. When are you due?

March 19th. I am 11 weeks along.

2. How have you been feeling?

Horrible. I've been experiencing nausea and vomiting for the last 6 weeks (well only vomiting for 4) and I'm not sure the end is in sight yet. It will end though. I have to tell myself that. I'm thankful for the people who have helped out with Grace as I'm going through this. They are my lifesavers!

3. Are you going to find out if it's a boy or girl?

Yes.

4. Any feeling on which one it will be?

Just like last time Matt wants a boy and I want a girl. Of course I'd love either I just don't understand boys. For a couple of weeks I felt like it is a boy and for the last month I've felt like it is a girl. Only God knows.

5. Was this planned?

Yes, this pregnancy is what we wanted but more importantly it is what God wants for us right now.

TiVo

I can't believe I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. However if I would have posted all I would have had to say is it is very hot here and we just run around the house inside. I'm sick of the heat and ready for some cooler weather! Ok, sorry for my complaining. It is on to bigger and better things....

TIVO! TIVO! TIVO! Yes, we are the proud consumers of TiVo for the next 4.5 months. My friend Jenna had a TiVo box and subscription that she cannot use. I don't even know the full story as to why she can't use it but it worked in our favor. Now I can watch, pause, rewind, fast forward and record whatever I want.

The funny thing is there is not a lot that I want to watch on TV. I've been recording Ellen everyday. That works well because I can fast forward through boring guests and just watch the funny parts. I also record Elmo's World on Sesame Street for Grace. It's perfect to watch during dinner making time. And I've recorded Wipeout.

Here's to watching Wipeout replays over and over and over using rewind!

Thankful Thursday

I need to be positive today so I decided to do a thankful Thursday post. It has been a while. I know this happened on Monday but I'm thankful for it today. My old college roomies came to visit and we had a nice time catching up. It was fun to watch our babies (15 months, 10 months and almost 2 months old) interact. They are in such different stages right now but before we know it they will all be able to play together. God has really blessed our lives.

Our Night Away

This weekend we were able to leave Grace with Matt's parents and get a night away. We are so thankful that they were excited to watch her and we're pretty sure she didn't even notice we were missing for 24 hours. She got to go to the library, the park, and church with Grandma and Grandpa. As for our 24 hour date, it was great! We got a hotel a 4 star hotel on Priceline for $50. We left Matt's parents before we could check into the room so we went shopping at The Container Store. I love that place!! We got a few things for the house which was fun. Then we went and checked into our hotel room with a king size bed. We watched TV and took naps before dinner. Then we got the GPS out and found the nearest Portillo's for dinner. We weren't really interested in going to a fancy romantic restaurant:) The weather was perfect so after dinner we found a park and went for a long walk and just hung out outside. Then we went back to the hotel and didn't leave until noon the next day. Did I mention that we didn't have to change a single diaper the whole time? That might have been the best part. O yeah and quality time with my husband:)

Bye Bye Jenna

We are sad to see our good friend Jenna move to Texas this week. She has been a fun friend to have over the past few years. And over the past 2 years we've gotten really close. Jenna and I have hung out once a week for 2 years. We usually chat, catch up and even throw in the serious spiritual side of life while we're hanging out. We've read and studied parts of the Bible together and it has been great. Grace loves hanging out with her too. I think my weeks will seem incomplete without a hangout with Jenna. But, she just finished grad school and is ready for the next adventure. I can't wait to see what Texas has in store for her!

Rollerblading is Life

"Rollerblading is Life" is what one of my favorite t-shirts from high school said. I loved to get out and rolerblade for hours. Then I got into biking. I had so much fun being fit and being outdoors on wheels. After moving here 6 years ago I found that I had a harder time finding people to be active with. So many excuses. Maybe it was the fact that I wasn't in college anymore and had a full time job. And everyone I knew was in the same position. I could roller blade on my own but just never did. I wasn't really comfortable road biking in the country all by myself. I know I could have worked a little harder to find people to bike with but I just didn't. So I sold my mountain bike to a friend and I put my road bike on craigslist and quickly found a buyer.

At this point the only wheels I had left were my rollerblades. Then Matt and I started dating. I had to spend time with him so I stopped roller blading. Fast forward. We got married, got pregnant, had a baby. It's really hard to be active while pregnant and then with a new baby. I managed to get myself to the gym and go for walks (which is great but not as interesting). I've been contemplating whether or not I needed my rollerblades anymore for the last several months. I haven't used them in years and they are really nice. Then I began to wonder if rollerblading was even cool anymore or if it was just dorky. Just last week Matt was doing some computer programming with a friend and I was discussing my rollerblading dilemma with them. His friend told me his wife (who is very active) would probably love my rollerblades. So, I gave them away. They are nice and she will probably get a lot of use out of them. But to me it was the end of an era. Even though I haven't done it in a while I now cannot jolt around town on self powered wheels. Right now my stroller is my only set of wheels. I wonder if I could get a shirt that says, "Stroller Pushing is Life"

Virus

I have a couple of blogs I want to put up but my computer got a virus. I was really excited to watch Top Chef the other day and couldn't find the latest episodes on Hulu. I guess Bravo has some weird rules about how much can go on Hulu. So, I had the genius idea of searching the internet for full episodes. What I came across was a website that wanted me to take quizzes and give my info before I could watch the full episode. I immediately knew that my idea was a bust and got out of there. Too bad for my computer it was too late. So things started going crazy and Matt has been working on it for the last few days. I don't like postings from our other computer because it is a Mac and I haven't figured out how to use it. Like when I load pictures off the camera I'm not sure where or even how to save them. Once my computer is fixed hopefully I'll have a few interesting blogs. Enjoy the last couple of days of July!
