Epilogue 1: Foster Care License

A couple of weeks ago we finally received our foster care license almost one year after we took our required class, 10 months after we submitted all of our paperwork and 7 months after was originally estimated.  While it has been frustrating that it has taken so long I'm actually glad that it has taken this long.  It has given our kids time to age a little and I've really enjoyed this time with them.  Now we can be open to kids under the age of three as opposed to two since Caleb will be three in a month.  As soon as we got the license we created a list of questions to ask when we get a call.  We won't always have an answer to the questions but they can help us make a good decision as to whether or not a kid might be a good fit in our home and help protect us from situations that we don't feel equipped to handle.  And now we wait for a kid in need...
