Happy Halloween

Tiger and lion
We had a super fun Halloween this year.  I decided kind of last minute that I wanted to throw a small Halloween party for the kids.  I felt a little sad that Grace isn't in preschool and doesn't get to have any school parties so I invited a few friends who have kids who also aren't in preschool right now over for the morning.

I planned 3 games (freeze dance, pin the nose on the pumpkin, and pumpkin, pumpkin, squash (think duck, duck, goose)) and had coloring pages for the kids.  We also had a yummy lunch.  I made a giant batch of pumpkin muffins, apple slices, carrots, cheese chunks crackers and pretzels with hummus, popcorn with candy corn, and Papa Murphy's pizza.

After naps we went to Matt's work and trick or treated at his co-workers desks.  They also got pizza and snacks for us to eat.  It's so fun to see all the kids in their costumes.

Finally, my parents came over for dinner and trick-or-treating with us.  My Dad actually stayed and handed out candy while Matt, my mom and I took the kids out.  We made a smart decision to take the wagon so we covered a good deal of ground and they loved it.  Grace especially got into it this year and has been playing "Halloween" all day today.

Best part: 99% of the candy acquired yesterday is MINE!
